Is among the top pediatric primary care practices in the state recognized for best-in-class patient experience, based on results of annual statewide survey conducted by Massachusetts Health Quality Partners (MHQP)

Pediatric Associates of Hampden County is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by Massachusetts Health Quality Partners (MHQP) for being one of the top practices in Massachusetts for patient experience in primary care.

The “MHQP Patient Experience Awards” is an annual awards program introduced in 2018 by MHQP, a non-profit measurement and reporting organization that works to improve the quality of patient care experiences in Massachusetts. MHQP conducts the only statewide survey of patient experience in primary care in Massachusetts.

Awards were given to top overall performers in adult primary care and pediatrics in each of ten performance categories. Pediatric Associates of Hampden County received recognition for the following award:

  • Distinction in Patient-Provider Communications

“The mission of Pediatric Associates of Hampden County is to provide professional, compassionate, and comprehensive care to infants, children and adolescents,” said Robert Peskin MD, President and managing partner of PAHC.  “Our providers and staff constantly strive to improve our practice and put patients first.  I congratulate all of them on their hard work and this recognition from our patients and the MHQP.”

“Once again this year, we are thrilled to congratulate the winners of the 2024 MHQP Patient Experience Awards,” said Barbra Rabson, MHQP’s President and CEO. “Despite the many challenges primary care is currently facing, these practices found a way to provide best-in-class experiences for their patients. We are pleased to congratulate each of them on behalf of their patients for their exceptional commitment to excellence.”

“Primary care is the cornerstone of our health care system,” said Julita Mir, MD, MHQP’s Board Chair. “At a time when primary care is under tremendous stress in our state, these practices from all across the state recognized with this award have distinguished themselves where it matters most – in the experiences of their own patients.”
